In this session, we'll explore two common misconceptions of scales that can limit your success. We’ll tackle the following questions: Should I teach a scale as a sequence of instruction from bottom to the top? Are scales and rubrics the same thing? During the presentation, we’ll uncover why the answer to both of these is no and how small shifts in our understanding can lead to greater ease in using scales to design instruction and feedback opportunities for students.
